PHOTOGRAPHER + DIRECTOR
Alexis Pazoumian est photographe et réalisateur. Il pratique une photographie sociale et documentaire. Son approche se concentre autour de communautés vivant en marge de la société. D’Arménie aux États-Unis et plus récemment en Sibérie, les notions d’humanité, d’identité et de société sont centrales dans son travail.
Alexis Pazoumian est l’auteur de deux livres publiés aux éditions André Frère “Faubourg Treme” (2018) et “Sacha” (2020).
Soutenu par Arte il réalise en 2020 un documentaire sur le Haut Karabagh. En 2022 il diffuse le court-métrage “Bellus” avec le soutien de Canal+.
Alexis Pazoumian a participé à plusieurs expositions à l’international et collabore également avec des ONG (Action contre la faim, France Alzheimer,…), des marques (Nike, Société Générale, Uber, Google, …) et des médias (Vice, National Geographic, Libération, Télérama, …).
Alexis Pazoumian is photographer and filmmaker. His photography is social and documentary. His approach focuses on communities living on the margins of society. From Armenia to the United States, and more recently Siberia, notions of humanity, identity and society are central to Alexis Pazoumian’s work.
Alexis Pazoumian is the author of two books published by Editions André Frère, “Faubourg Treme” (2018) and “Sacha” (2020).
In 2020, supported by Arte, he directed a documentary on Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2022, he released the short film “Bellus” in collaboration with Canal+.
