RONAN GUILLOU

A traveler guided by a desire for discovery, Ronan Guillou loved to drift into unknown lands in pursuit of new stories. Combining a graphic and luminous elegance with an openness to human encounters, he gave each of his subjects a true radiance: portraits of striking accuracy, landscapes with delicate chromatics, scenes of life with an obvious freshness and beauty.

His American work has been the subject of numerous publications, exhibitions and screenings in France and abroad and is part of public and private collections (Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Fondation Neuflize OBC).

“Ronan Guillou is one of the few photographers I know who have the eye (and the ear of the soul) ready to capture these ephemeral moments. It is true that I see the angel passing in many of his images.”

Wim Wenders, excerpt from the preface of ANGEL, Ronan Guillou, Trans Photographic Press, 2011

Ronan Guillou passed away in 2022, leaving behind hundreds of images that we will strive to bring to life.
